IFA-VTD Junior National Championship - 4th Place
July 9 - 13, 2014
Denton, Texas
Out of 44 12u teams, the Austin Stars won 4th Place despite of multiple player injuries. Gabby and Cloe was sent to ER, Mikey and Logan colliaded while catching a pop-up ball in the outside base. Andrea came with a very short notice. As a backup, Illiana came prepared to helpout!
Thank you parents, coaches, and girls for the wonderful season.

Blue Diamond Jazz'in It Up in June - 2nd Place

The team managed to win 2nd place eventhough with one short player on Sunday morning. With a short notice, Illiana Chavez (a nine-year old sister of Gabby's teammate) was able to fillin. Illiana (or Illie) was amazing in the field and did her best, she even made to the 3rd base and almost scored! Jessica (pitcher) pitched 6 games in the row and made 4 home runs (3 out of the fence).
Gabby hit ball to left field and rollover to the fence. She said: "That's my Father's Day present Dad!" Because they are short player, outfields (Gabby & Jazzy) have to work double-time.
It was unlikely that Austin Stars will make it to the championship game. However it proves that great attitudes & teamwork can win it all.

June Sizzler - champions

Gabby played with the the Austin Starts 12u - Calvillo in a one-day tournament in Huber Ranch. Sixteen teams participated and the Austin Stars went undefeated.
Gabby was very happy playing with new found friends. Gabby had multiple RBIs, great catches, and a line-drive to left outfield close to the fence-triple.
Thanks to the Austin Stars family for a wonderful and exciting tournament!

Summer Friendly Kickoff
May 31-June 1, 2014
San Marcos, Texas
Gabby was invited to play with the The Hitting Zone (THZ) 12u. Gabby was very excited playing with her close friend Jewelli.
On their 5th game, Gabby's stomach get's upset due to a quick dinner before the game ( That's a lessons learned. No more meat ball subs before a game!) Gabby was asked by Coach Kyle if she can hit; she responded "Yes! for the team." She did hit and not only hit and scored!
