Around 4 a.m. while the girls are restless after playing three games in the Midnight Madness softball tournament, one girl passed out in the field apparently due to dehydration. While waiting for the ambulance to arrive, one girl started crying in the dugout. Gabby (and Hannah) showed compassion by giving this tearful girl a hug. The crying girl eventually emailed Gabby's coached to express her gratitude.

Gabby's team placed 3rd and received a medal.

One parent posted in Facebook said, "Super proud of the young woman our Firecrackers Ctx Garcia girls are becoming. They might not have won the tournament this weekend but they played with class and as one cohesive team. I watched as our girls went into the final three and my heart melted as they took a knee for an opposing team as they had a girl injured waiting for an ambulance. While our girls were on bended knee, I also saw the team we were about to play, rejoicing and making fun. I understand that these are young girls playing a game but I would hope that we teach them respect, honor, class, and compassion for other players as well. Keep it up Firecrackers you are ALWAYS winners in my eyes!"

Great job Gabby! We are very proud of you.
